Manager was unhelpful and unsympathetic towards my problems. I have a large account I expected some respect and assistance. Found none.
Then, the teller came back to me and told me that even though they were certain the person on the other end of the phone was my mother and that she had written the check out to me for my first day of school, that they still would not honor the check.
I asked why, and they told me that unless my mother was at the branch with me, they would not cash her check which was made out in my name. I had my Drivers license and pointed out that we shared the same last name, and even though my mom lived in Concord and I lived in Sterling, that obviously this was ridiculous..
That was it, no explanation, not excuse and then they told me to leave.
I will never forgive this bank for what they did to me.
This Bank / Branch gave me the most traumatic experience in my late teens and I feel compelled to warn others how badly this bank branch treated me. I was a Sophomore in college, my mother had written me a check from this bank for ~$150 so I could buy my school books at the local college campus book store. My first stop was here to cash the check and waited at the teller for quite some time before they came back and told me they refused to cash the check.
The manager and tell her that this bank are complete idiots. I have a check for my minor child and they tell me they can't cash it yet 2 miles down the road I called them and they said yes please just write parent of minor on the back of it and endorse it. Guess what they cashed it screw you Bank of America on lyman Stree youre stupid and don't know your own rules and regulations
After several minutes of back and forth, the teller sugested that if we got my mom on the bank phone and they would talk to her about cashing the check.
had a very good experience here, managers are polite and friendly.
Needless to say, I missed my first day at school and to this day, the mistreatment that I receive from this Bank branch has been on my mind.
So they called her and asked her for her social security number and a couple of other challenge questions.
